Nahas Hidayat’s latest film, ‘RDX’, starring Antony Varghese, Shane Nigam, and Neeraj Madhav, has created a stir in theaters, thanks in large part to its adrenaline-pumping action scenes. Choreographed masterfully by the Anpariv brothers, the movie’s riveting action isn’t just about the leads. The actors portraying the film’s villains are drawing just as much attention.
Antony Varghese is particularly effusive about the commitment of the actors playing these antagonist roles. He boldly states, “The villains in the film are our heroes.” Recounting a gripping anecdote from the set, Antony reveals a testament to their dedication: during an intense action sequence, he unintentionally landed a punch, resulting in an actor needing four stitches on his chin.
Antony recalls, “These actors are our heroes too. If audience members felt a rush of emotions against these characters, that’s a testament to their stellar performances. In one particular fight scene, I inadvertently struck a co-star’s face, and the next day, he sported four stitches on his chin.”
He continues with admiration, “But that scar adds authenticity to the scene. Many in this film endured numerous injuries, and the movie’s success is as much theirs as anyone else’s. As the film aptly puts it, none of their efforts went in vain. It’s not just about the visible scars, but the impactful performances that make the movie.”
Antony Varghese’s words shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes of ‘RDX’, reminding us of the blood, sweat, and tears that go behind crafting cinematic magic.
