Recent media reports have suggested that noted actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar was questioned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with a significant narcotics drug case. Addressing the swirling rumors, Varalaxmi has now come forward with clarifications.

The incident in question pertains to the discovery of roughly 300 kgs of heroin and an AK 47 rifle at the Villincham beach area in Kerala, which naturally caught significant media attention. As investigations progressed, it was unveiled that an individual named Aadhilingam, arrested in relation to the crime, was previously associated with Varalaxmi as her assistant. This information subsequently fueled media speculation, suggesting that Varalaxmi was summoned by the NIA for further questioning.

Setting the record straight, Varalaxmi released a statement underscoring her lack of connection to the event and the individuals involved. She stated,

“I have no connection with Aadhilingam, who worked for me but quit five years ago. The NIA officials made an inquiry regarding him only at my mother’s place.” She further emphasized, “No one called me for investigation.”
