She has since graced the screen in prominent roles in movies like “Madayanai Kootam”, “Kalakalapu”, “Marina”, “Mudar Koodam”, “Yamiruka Bayamem”, and “90 ml”.
During a recent interview, the conversation steered towards the speculations about her sexuality. When confronted with the question, spurred by comments asking if she identifies as a lesbian, Oviya responded with grace and candor. “Such rumors and problems are almost a given when one is in the limelight,” she remarked. She emphasized the recurrent nature of such speculations in the industry, stating, “This is a common pattern with comments like these.” Putting the rumors to rest, she affirmed, “I am not a lesbian” and advised not taking such speculations too seriously.
