Amid the gung-ho of Sandalwood’s movie magic, MG Srinivas had earlier indicated that his film, Ghost, would unfold as a two-part tale. Namma audience got even more intrigued when he announced that Ghost would be the opening chapter in his Srinivas Cinematic Universe, brilliantly intertwining with the Birbal stories. So, with Ghost set to hit screens on October 19, the big question is – does it conclude neatly, or does it tantalize with a cliffhanger?
Swalpa adjust maadi, and let’s get the insider info from Srinivas himself. Ghost stands tall and proud as a full-fledged film. No abrupt endings, no loose ends. However, the character Shivanna portrays promises numerous story angles. While the initial buzz was around a two-part series, now it seems Ghost might just spearhead a full-blown franchise. In Ghost, the drama unfurls across an action-packed 48-hours, opening up a treasure trove of storytelling opportunities with this central character.
As we sip on our filter coffees, here’s more sakkath news. Srinivas has his directorial vision set on Birbal 2 next, which interestingly will feature a familiar face from Ghost. And then, as you might have guessed, Ghost 2 will follow. But, as of now, all eyes and ears are on Ghost’s grand release, especially with heavy hitters like Leo, Bhagavanth Kesari, Tiger Nageshwara Rao, and Ganpath sharing the spotlight. Ghost is all set to charm about 350 screens in our very own Kannada, and fans, mark your calendars because the Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi renditions of Ghost are prepped for an October 19 release. Aye, but our Telugu banda-bandi will have to wait a tad longer, as Ghost plans to make its Telugu debut on October 27 in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
