Mehreen Kaur Pirzada, known for her hit roles, recently shared her thoughts on X about a scene from her latest web show, Sultan of Delhi on Disney+Hotstar.
Starting her message with a touch of excitement for joining the OTT world, Mehreen quickly moved to a scene that’s making a lot of noise. She said some roles can make you uncomfortable, but they need to be done to show real-life issues. Mehreen showed her worry about how a serious issue, like marital rape in the series, was wrongly named as just a ‘romantic scene’ by some people.

She asked media and people sharing posts online to think deeply before saying anything, reminding them that many women face such tough situations in real life.
She also praised her Sultan of Delhi team, led by director Milan Luthria. She said the team made sure everyone felt safe and okay when filming such strong scenes.
Ending her message, Mehreen promised her fans to always do her best in every film or show, like her roles as Mahalakshmi, Sanjana, and Honey.
