In this gripping crime web series, Kritika takes on a role like never before, that of a fierce female gangster, promising to add a fresh twist to the crime drama genre.
Kritika Kamra’s approach to her roles has always been unique. She shared her excitement about portraying various characters, saying, “Every project offers a distinct flavor, and it’s exhilarating to breathe life into these roles. I’m always on the lookout for roles that challenge me and break away from the norm. It’s vital for me not to get typecast, so I often opt for collaborations that are innovative and fresh.” She further mentioned her journey through diverse genres on OTT platforms, from political dramas to suspense thrillers, and now venturing into crime drama. Bambai Meri Jaan boasts of a stellar cast, featuring talents like Avinash Tiwary, Kay Kay Menon, Nivedita Bhattacharya, and Amyra Dastur. The series paints a vivid picture of post-independence Bombay, shedding light on its crime-infested streets. At the heart of the story is a poignant narrative of Dara Kadri, portrayed by Avinash, an upcoming gangster, and his father Ismail Kadri, enacted by Kay Kay Menon, a steadfast police officer. This emotional tug-of-war is set against the tumultuous backdrop of 1970s Mumbai, where treachery and gang wars were rampant.
