Bollywood filmmaker-actor, Farhan Akhtar, channeled his romantic self on Sunday, sharing a heartfelt birthday post for his beloved wife, Shibani Dandekar.
In a love-filled Instagram post, Farhan shared a delightful photograph of the duo, all smiles, captioning it, “Happy birthday partner… may life give you all you want and more… may you always have reasons to smile… (but enough about me)… love you loads. Have the best year yet. @shibaniakhtar.” Shibani, clearly touched by the gesture, responded with, “I love you so much! Thank you for the best gift in the world! You.”
Their love story has been a talking point in Bollywood. After dating for close to three years, the couple exchanged vows on February 19, 2022, at Farhan’s family farmhouse in Khandala. Prior to this, Farhan was married to celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Bhabani. The duo, who wed in 2000, separated in 2017 and share the joy of parenting their two daughters, Shakya and Akira.
On the professional spectrum, Farhan is gearing up to return to direction after a hiatus of nearly 11 years with ‘Jee Le Zara’, a women-centric road trip film. The movie, which he announced in 2021, will star Bollywood bigwigs Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif. Touted to mirror the camaraderie essence of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, it’s one to watch out for. Also, in the pipeline for Farhan is ‘Don 3’, featuring the dynamic Ranveer Singh.
Shibani, on the flip side, graced the screen with her presence in ‘Made in Heaven 2’.
