The much-anticipated sequel to Selvaraghavan’s 2004 hit, ‘7G Rainbow Colony’, is making headlines with its casting updates. While earlier reports suggested that actresses Aditi Shankar and Ivana were in the running for the female lead, the latest news confirms Malayalam actress Anaswara Rajan for the role.
The original film, which starred Ravi Krishna and Sonia Agarwal, was a massive success and has since remained a favorite among fans. Ravi Krishna, who was last seen in the 2011 film ‘Aaranya Kaandam’, is making a comeback with ‘7G Rainbow Colony 2’. Given the tragic end of Sonia Aggarwal’s character in the first film, the sequel demanded a fresh face for the female lead.
Anaswara Rajan, who began her career as a child artist in the Malayalam film ‘Udaharanam Sujatha’, has been making waves in the Tamil film industry. She was recently seen playing Trisha’s niece in ‘Raangi’ and also had a role in ‘Thugs’.
The sequel, ‘7G Rainbow Colony 2’, is being produced by AM Ratnam and is slated to begin shooting in September. Fans are eagerly awaiting the reunion of director Selvaraghavan and music maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja for this project. Further details about the cast and crew are expected to be announced soon.
Stay tuned for more updates on ‘7G Rainbow Colony 2’ and its star-studded lineup.
