In a recent candid interview, Bollywood’s perfectionist, Aamir Khan, unveiled exciting news about his upcoming film and shared heartfelt details about his daughter Ira Khan’s personal life. The actor revealed that his new project is titled Sitaare Zameen Par, creating a buzz in the industry. Simultaneously, he opened up about the much-anticipated wedding date of his daughter Ira and her fiancé, Nupur Shikhare, which is set for January 3, 2024.
For those not in the know, Ira and Nupur exchanged engagement vows on November 18, 2022. Ira, a 26-year-old star kid, is the daughter of Aamir Khan and his former wife, Reena Dutta.
During the interview, Aamir Khan shared, “Ira is getting married on January 3. The boy she has chosen, although his pet name is Popeye, his actual name is Nupur. He is a trainer and has arms like Popeye, but most importantly, he’s a lovely person. When Ira was going through a tough time battling depression, he stood by her side.”
The Bollywood icon also expressed his happiness at the strong bond between Ira and her fiancé, highlighting their emotional connection. In Aamir’s eyes, Nupur Shikhare is like a son to him.
Aamir Khan warmly stated, “It might sound like a dialogue from a movie, but I genuinely feel that Nupur is like a son to me. He’s an exceptional young man, and we consider him an integral part of our family. His mother, Pritam Ji, is already a cherished member of our extended family.”
Adding to the excitement, Aamir mentioned that his next Hindi film project is Sitaare Zameen Par. Furthermore, he’s set to make a special appearance in his son Junaid Khan’s production venture, Pritam Pyaare.
